The Natural Sleep Company was founded on the belief that a more natural environment allows for a more natural and restful sleep. This philosophy has inspired us to combine sustainable natural materials and therapeutic innovations based on strong medical research, to develop solutions for natural healthy sleeping.

The company founder James Hayes is passionate about the health benefits of sleep and in developing ideal and therapeutic sleeping conditions. His commitment to hand crafted traditional techniques, using age old skills with modern technology and natural materials, combine to produce the finest quality handmade beds.

Our Ultimate Flotation mattress was awarded Best Irish manufactured product 2007 and our Natures Touch was awarded Best Bedroom Product 2008. Natures Touch is also fully endorsed by the American Association of Chiropractors.

We know you'd sleep a little easier if you knew your bed or mattress was as kind to the environment as it was to the body. It's one reason we try to keep everything we do as environmentally friendly as possible.

Sustainability is the capacity to endure. For humans it is the potential for long-term maintenance of well being, which in turn depends on the well being of the natural world and the responsible use of natural resources. Our location in the beautiful unspoiled landscape at the foot of the Galtee Mountains has inspired us to be as careful about our impact on the environment as we are about the beds we make.

Not only are we constantly looking at ways to reduce our company's carbon footprint, we also strive for 100% natural and sustainable materials in all our beds and mattresses. For example, the latex used in our mattresses is naturally derived from sustainable rubber plantations in Malaysia.

James has decades of experience in sourcing sustainable materials from home and abroad. He also devotes much of his time to researching greener production methods and is devoted to fair trade in the areas we source materials from.
